The Other Side

Great artists, musicians, poets, writers, luminaries, and philosophers sensed something new and different—something incredibly wonderful—something beyond the ordinary life of this world. What did they sense? Did they know something the rest of us do not know? Is there really something beyond the ordinary world of living, suffering, and dying?

The ancient Egyptians initiated a union with another realm. They prepared their dead with accessories for use in that other realm. Then came Moses seeking the land of milk and honey. Still later Jesus while nailed to the cross looked up and called to Heaven. And do not forget Coleridge’s stately pleasure dome where the sacred river Alph runs through caverns measureless to man. Then there is Wallace’s golden world—the Civilization of the Universe—a world free of dishonesty and irrationality.

What we have is a 4000-year tradition of longing for another world, a better world—an extraordinary life where each person experiences eternal fulfillment. Such a world does exist. And today, at the beginning of the third millennium, this document will transport you to that better world: a real Heaven on Earth.

Opening the Door

Realize that repetition works. Repeating something over and over is an effective way to ingrain an idea into people’s minds. The poet-musician Jim Morrison (1943-1971) understood this and applied it to music.

In 1967 Jim Morrison said, "I’ve always been attracted to ideas that were about revolt against authority. I like ideas about the breaking away or overthrowing of established order…external revolt is a way to bring about internal freedom."

Many people know Jim Morrison as the lead singer of the rock group The Doors. However, most people do not know he was intellectually gifted with an IQ above 140, which is much higher than normal. He loved poetry, and his band united rock music with poetry and theatre. The goal was to use music to penetrate the veil of Maya—to shatter the illusory appearance of the sensible world in order to discover spiritual reality—to awaken the latent powers of the human spirit.

Jim Morrison said, "There are things known and there are things unknown, and in between are the doors." His band was the opening—the doors—to the new and unknown. He danced and pleaded and screamed to shake the audience out of their unconsciousness. He used music to wake up people, to transport them from an established paradigm to a new paradigm.

His favorite philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche said, "Say yes to life." That saying inspired Jim Morrison. Thus, he dared to create himself, to wake up people, to propose a new wild west. And his music would be the door to that new world. He said, "If my poetry aims to achieve anything, it’s to deliver people from the limited ways in which they see and feel."

One of The Doors’ most popular songs is called Break On Through. Here are some of the lyrics:

I found an island in your arms
A country in your eyes
Arms that chain us
Eyes that lied
Break on through to the other side…

Made the scene from week to week
Day to day, hour to hour
The gate is straight
Deep and wide
Break on through to the other side…

Jim Morrison knew there was something better than the established way of life. He combined poetry with music in an attempt to bring about that better world. Tragically, he died young. Thus, he was never able to break on through to the other side. At his grave in Paris are the words, "Nietzsche was right. Jim Morrison is dead. Open the doors of perception… And break on through to the other side." Today, the Local Group is transporting individuals to the other side: to a universal civilization.

Shifting Perspectives

If everyone lives in an established mode of life that is inferior to an ideal world, and if there is such a thing as an exciting world of open-ended fulfillment, how can you get there? What do you have to do? Where do you have to go?

The answer, ironically, is that you do not have to go anywhere or do anything in the physical world. You do not need to withdraw to a cloistered garden or study with a guru. Nor do you have to shave your head or join a cult or participate in rituals or anything esoteric. But you do need to do one thing. What is that one thing? When you learn and apply that one thing, you will find yourself on the other side—living in an incredible world filled with beautiful treasures.

Have you ever held a belief about something for a long time only to learn something else that overturned your original belief? Almost instantly you realized your old belief was erroneous. You never validated your original belief using reason; you simply adopted it because people around you adopted it. After interacting with several people who held a similar belief, you assumed your belief was true. Then something happened that caused you to question your belief. You began thinking about it and realized the belief had no basis in reality. You felt fear and ecstasy: fear of letting go of the old belief and ecstasy at being liberated from the old belief.

For example, suppose you held a firm belief in a supernatural being. You called that being God. Almost everyone around you held the same belief, so you based your entire worldview on the belief in a supernatural being. You felt secure in your belief that God exists and created the world. Until this point you never deeply questioned the idea of God. It seemed to fit well with your life so you decided not to give it any more thought. It became part of your subconscious knowledge base and you went about your daily life with this belief.

Then something happened to you; perhaps you endured a personal misfortune. You began asking yourself questions about life and the notion of God. Using reason for the first time in the realm of the supernatural, you were shocked to realize that God is a contradiction of reality. The notion of God cannot be sustained by reason, logic, or reality. At this point you realize the supernatural being called God cannot exist and never has existed because you know that nothing can violate the laws of physics and mathematics. You begin doing more research and you are amazed to learn that the God concept is a colossal hoax. You are stunned because until now you believed in God and based your worldview on a supernatural being.

At this point your whole view of life has changed. You no longer believe in God anymore than you believe in Santa Claus. Initially you scramble to understand life without God, and soon everything becomes clear. Your perspective on life has shifted. And this new perspective serves you much better than the old one because the new one is aligned with reality. It enables you to think and act efficaciously.

In short, you experienced a shift in consciousness. Your worldview changed. Although that shift liberated you, nothing in the physical world changed. The change occurred within you. This is the key to breaking through to the other side. This is the key to discovering a paradise on Earth.

Survey history and you will see major transformations in human life. For instance, you will see the transition from wandering man to civilized man. You will also see the shift from an agricultural civilization to an industrial civilization to an information civilization. At each shifting point of humanity, major external changes occurred. But to enter a universal civilization of endless riches first requires internal action: a shift of perspective, a shift of consciousness. As people do this across the globe, individuals will take the necessary actions to build a universal civilization right here on planet Earth. However, before those external actions can occur, individuals need to shift their consciousness from parochial views to wide-ranging views—from earth-centered views to universe-centered views.

From Provincial to Universal

The few people throughout history that have dared to think beyond the ordinary—men and women of great vision—often endured the iron fist of earthbound rulers. Those free spirits who followed their own vision rather than the vision of others grew beyond the confines of Earth’s parochial civilization. They typically were punished for going beyond the boundaries of established society. Hence the fates of people like Socrates (poisoned) and Bruno (burned) and Sidney (beheaded). All were prosecuted into oblivion. These murderous actions serve as a warning to anyone who dares to advance beyond the provincial views dominating planet Earth.

Yet, every healthy human being has the potential to think beyond the ordinary. Each person possesses the capacity to think in broad-ranging vistas that go beyond the limited scope of prevailing ‘truths’ established by earthbound authorities. That capacity exists in every human mind when operating on the conceptual level of consciousness—especially when doing principled thinking. However, each person has to learn how to think conceptually.

Now here comes the dilemma: who wants to make the effort to learn how to think conceptually and integrate widely only to be punished by society for rendering established ‘truths’ obsolete? Why should anyone exert the effort to raise his or her level of consciousness to open-ended vistas only to be targeted by ruling authorities for violating earthbound protocols of cognitive myopia and dependence? After all, look at the fate of those who dared to think beyond the confines of Earth’s civilization. Who really wants to be ostracized or incarcerated or executed for shaking up established ‘truths’ on which provincial societies depend?

In order to reach the other side and discover a paradise on Earth, you need to shift from a provincial paradigm to a universal paradigm. That is to say, you need to experience a shift in consciousness so you can turn planet Earth into your personal domain of riches. After you do this, something unexpected will happen. Your shift in consciousness will leave you more powerful than all the professional authorities of yesterday and today. You will become invincible against anyone who would try to harm you. By aligning yourself with reality and elevating your consciousness to the pinnacle level, you will possess a power unmatched by earthbound authorities and their tools of poison, fire, guillotines, guns, and prisons.

A Parallel World

Some people have already turned planet Earth into their personal paradise. They are generating wealth, enjoying romantic love, experiencing excellent health, and living happily. Today these people are a minority. The rest of the population is struggling either financially, physically, psychologically, romantically, or some combination of these. Many people live in a familiar world: they endure significant suffering with minimal enjoyment and happiness. They rarely experience deep emotional fulfillment. Sadly, these people do not say yes to life as Nietzsche admonished.

You can learn about life from the French novelist Marcel Proust (1871-1922). According to Proust, "The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes." His blend of realism can be educational and humorous. But to break out of a parochial world and step into a parallel world that is now available—a world of phenomenal success—you need to go beyond Proust, beyond Nietzsche, beyond Morrison. You need to take an electronic voyage from here to there, from suffering to sumptuousness—from stagnating routine to a stimulating life. How do you do that?

An electronic manuscript containing 180,000 words that was produced at the end of the second millennium holds the key. That electronic manuscript is called Perfect Mind/Perfect Body. The first half of that work provides the intellectual identifications needed for a shift in consciousness. The second half provides the practical identifications for discovering a paradise on Earth. And the reference section provides invaluable publications for getting you to the other side quickly and permanently. Yes, Perfect Mind/Perfect Body provides the knowledge for making a shift to the other side. Subsequent Local Group items—books, articles, novels, and art—reach deeper into the universe to bring stellar riches down to Earth for the permanent benefit of everyone.

Law of Self-Identity

Some people will experience a shift in consciousness. They will make it to the other side. Other people will not make the shift or transition. They will remain trapped in earthbound illusions. But you can be sure the law of self-identity holds true for everyone regardless if a person experiences a shift in consciousness or not.

What is the law of self-identity? It says you are who you are and you will be who you have been regarding your core self. There are certain fundamental aspects about you that will never change regardless what you experience. You can change many aspects of your life including how you think and what you value. But there are certain aspects of yourself that are the cornerstone of your identity and cannot be changed. When you learn these fundamental aspects, you can avoid wasting time and effort trying to change them. Instead, you can spend your time doing things that will culminate in lasting change and profitable consequences.

The law of self-identity asserts that certain fundamental traits you exhibited in childhood and adolescence are an integral part of you and cannot be changed or contradicted. Those fundamental traits will be with you for life. They are the essence of you and are part of your identity. These unchangeable traits include your (1) sexual preference, (2) basic outlook on life, (3) general attitude, (4) physique, and (5) basic longings. Again, you can change or improve many parts of your life. But these fundamental traits are unique to you, to your psychological and physiological makeup, and will always be a part of you.

(1) The most obvious aspect of your sexual preference is heterosexuality or homosexuality. This is typically determined early in life, and normal human development results in heterosexuality. Homosexuality probably arises from a psychological aberration because it contradicts the psychological and physiological nature of men and women.

Regardless of your basic sexual orientation, you will be attracted to a certain type of sexual partner. You will find certain sexual characteristics in another person extremely desirable. Those characteristics might be height, body shape, voice, hair color, eye color, dress, or any combination of these and other characteristics. What you find sexually desirable is unique to you and when you see those traits in another person, you will feel sexual attraction. No matter how many books you read or lectures you attend or how much personal development you undergo, you will always retain your basic sexual preference along with those attributes you find erotic in others. An exception might be if a gay person seeks therapy to discover the psychological origin of his sexual aberration and then uproots the error to develop into a heterosexual lover.

(2) Each person develops a basic outlook on life starting in childhood. This depends on the child’s psychology, physiology, environment, choices, and actions. Everyone has a unique combination of these factors and evolves uniquely into his or her own person. But an individual’s basic outlook can be described as either an affinity for life or an aversion to life.

If a person likes life, he will retain that outlook for a long time if not forever. When he endures a negative situation, he will perhaps acknowledge it and learn the cause, but not change his basic outlook on life from good to bad. This is because each person’s basic outlook on life is held subconsciously and rarely expressed verbally (although it is revealed in the art he creates or admires). And subconsciously held convictions cannot be altered quickly or easily. It takes a lot of conscious effort and time to change subconsciously held convictions.

(3) The general attitude of a person is like his outlook on life except it is not global in scope. Whereas an outlook on life consists of an affinity or hatred of life, the general attitude of a person is either positive or negative when dealing with other people. If a person is positive, he will reflect this in his dealings with other people. However, if a person is negative, he will respond negatively when dealing with others.

The attitude of a person is formed from experiences throughout his life and is an integral part of his subconscious knowledge base. Thus, it is very difficult if not impossible to change from being a negative person to a positive person or vice versa.

(4) One’s physique is an expression of one’s genetic potential. That potential is given to oneself at conception. There is little one can do to change one’s physique except what can be done through exercise and diet. Surgical procedures make possible localized enhancements, but global changes are not possible—at least at present levels of medical technology. Today there is nothing a person can do to change one’s height, body structure, skin color, and other basic attributes. The ability to alter these fundamental attributes depends on advancements in scientific knowledge.

(5) A person can change his global values and particular wants. However, his basic longings develop early in life and are essentially impossible to change—nor are they necessary to change. Examples of global values include reason, freedom, and love. Examples of particular wants include a spouse, home, and car. These values are changeable through deliberate thought and reflection. But basic longings such as a specific type of lover or a specific type of automobile or a specific type of working conditions are intricately tied to a person’s identity. These basic longings will keep resurfacing throughout a person’s life until he achieves them (healthy) or represses them out of awareness (unhealthy).

Does Gravity Hold the Key to Universal Riches?

Could gravity unlock the door to eternal riches? Yes it could. However, at our current stage of knowledge development, most people can do nothing about gravity. Only a few scientific geniuses can act as the catalyst in a gravitational revolution.

On December 15, 2000 I posted the following message to various science forums:

Gravity, as I currently understand it, is not so much a force but the result of matter bending or distorting the existence field. For example, a massive object like the earth bends or warps nearby space, which causes smaller objects to move along the warped space (as the moon does around the earth). Gravity acts like a force, causing smaller bodies to move toward larger bodies. But I think this is merely the result from the bending of space.

To picture this, if you put a marble on a waterbed, you would perceive little if any bending on the surface of the waterbed. But if you put a bowling ball on the waterbed, you would see the surface of the bed become distorted, causing the marble to move toward the bowling ball. This, I think, is what happens in gravitational fields, except we currently cannot observe the wrinkling or bending of space by massive objects.

The next day I made a follow-up post:

My original description of gravitational forces is predicated on an omnipresent existence field. As Riemann and Einstein explained, multi-dimensional space can be and is curved by matter of significant mass. But it is the interaction between matter of differing mass and the existence field that gives rise to gravity and weight.

I think Einstein rejected the concept of a fixed existence field. But as postulated by Neo-Tech physics, a fixed existence field is an evolving plasma whereby field quanta (e.g., gluons, photons, gravitons) propagate throughout our universe. If so, then gravitons mediate the force of gravity like photons mediate the force of electromagnetism and gluons mediate the strong nuclear force and so on.

Gravitons as the field quanta of gravity is a hypothesis that can be seen at http://www.neo-tech.com/zonpower/chapter4.html

Then on January 23, 2001 I posted the following to this ongoing gravity discussion:

Gravity might hold the key to validating or refuting a GUT (Grand Unification Theory). By understanding how gravity works, we can move toward validating or refuting a specific GUT theory. That GUT theory is available at http://www.neo-tech.com/zonpower/chapter6.html

However, to really understand gravity requires doing what Galileo did: postulate, experiment, and derive mathematical descriptions of physical actions. I think the following experiments are needed to advance our understanding of gravity:

1. Gravitational actions at the sub-microscopic level
2. Evidence of a gravitational or existence field (or refutation of this)
3. Evidence of gravitons
4. Understanding the difference between mass & weight regarding gravity

We can through such experiments gain a comprehensive knowledge of gravity that in turn can lead to a validated GUT theory. With a universally understood Grand Unification Theory, we will see the Big Bang of science: the beginning of science as a noble profession free of witch-doctor approaches (e.g., God as creator of the universe or exceeding the speed of light). From this point, science can deliver to society much needed information to advance business (e.g., nanotechnology), medicine (e.g., gene-technology), astronomy (e.g., light-speed travel), and societal infrastructure (e.g., energy-technology).

By understanding the above messages, one can see how gravity can unlock a previously untapped universe of riches. Specifically, through careful scientific experiments we can understand gravitational dynamics at the sub-microscopic level. This could lead to the validation of a Grand Unification Theory (GUT) that integrates all forces of nature into a single description. And with a mathematically verified GUT, we will see the birth of science as a coherent professional discipline that attracts the best people and spins off new discoveries to advance human life in ways we currently cannot imagine.

In summary, science can become the engine of progress and prosperity for all citizens. This will happen upon harnessing a demonstrated GUT, which can occur upon understanding gravity at the quantum mechanical level. When science is based on a validated GUT, everybody’s life will become easier, richer, and immortal.

Honesty is Contextual

As citizens transport themselves to the other side—to a universe of endless riches—they will be living in a civilization driven by science and business. The ethical mode of that civilization is honesty. But some people are genuinely confused about living in a totally honest society. Since most people currently live in a dishonest society and are constantly drained by ‘leaders’, they are confused about how to live in an honest world.

Questions arise such as, "Why should I be honest? And why should I be honest all the time? What if somebody tries to harm me? Should I be honest to harmful people?"

The answer to such questions is twofold. First, the reason one needs to be honest is because it keeps oneself in accord with reality. Each of us has to live in reality, and remaining attached to reality through the volitional process of honesty is the most effective and powerful way to live. This implies that we have to accurately identify reality and act on what we know. Anyone who consistently acts on reality can easily outperform people who attempt to recreate reality through rationalizations, distortions, or evasions.

Second, honesty is contextual—not dogmatic. Following the edict "never lie" is dogma void of context and is useless. The goal of a moral life is to be honest in one’s dealings with oneself, others, and reality. This means never using dishonesty to gain values from other people. But there are some situations where dishonesty is proper. For example, when confronted by a criminal or when playing poker, one is justified in not telling the truth.

If you identify the context of any particular situation, you can determine what is the honest approach and what is the dishonest approach. For instance, if you walked into a store, removed the price tag from an item, and told the cashier the price of the item was lower than the actual price…that would be dishonest and immoral. The storeowner would lose because of your attempt to gain a value through dishonesty.

However, if a thief approached you and said, "Give me all your money", you would be perfectly honest by opening up your wallet and giving him your last five dollars—without ever telling him that you have fifty dollars in your front pocket. You could honestly lie to the thief by telling him you only have five dollars even though you have more money in your front pocket.

Understanding when to use dishonesty comes down to a few basic principles. (1) It is unethical to use dishonesty to gain a value. (2) It is ethical to use dishonesty to protect yourself against people who threaten to use force or fraud against you. (3) It is ethical to use dishonesty when everyone in your situation agrees, such as in poker and bluff card games.

Remember that knowledge is contextual. An item of knowledge is valid in a given context but may not be true in a different context. Values are also contextual: having a beautiful home can be a value if it was earned, but if one had to steal the money for the house, it is outside the realm of evaluation and is not a value. Likewise, honesty is contextual: never telling a lie can work against oneself when dealing with thieves and murderers. One needs to understand the context of the situation and act accordingly. However, for most cases in human life, being honest in one’s dealings with others is the appropriate choice because dealing with thieves comprises a miniscule part of human life.

You will be Immortal

Imagine going to the store, looking on the shelves, and picking up a bottle of reverse-aging pills. You go to the counter and pay a small amount for the bottle and then leave the store. You ingest some pills and eventually your age reverts back to the days when you showed no signs of aging. Once your youth is restored, you will retain that youthful vigor. And if you do not get killed in a serious accident, you will live forever (as soon as medical technology has the cure for fatal illnesses).

In fact today you can go to the store and purchase anti-aging pills. But they are spurious or a joke. As of 2001, man still does not have genuine reverse-aging immortality products for sale to the public. There are various theories being tested in laboratories, but no valid immortality treatments currently exist for public consumption. However, that could change soon.

No one wants to live forever in the current state of the world. That would be horrifying, pure torture—like the religious assertion of burning in Hell for eternity. Who wants to experience poverty, be manipulated, be lonely, and suffer not for seventy-five years but forever? No one. Thus, in today’s world, there is no market for reverse-aging immortality products. But…as people break through to the other side—to a world of endless fulfillment—desire to forever experience happiness and pleasure will escalate. As more and more people discover a world of personal prosperity, fulfillment, and love, they will ignite a market for reverse-aging immortality products whether they are aware of this or not. And once such a market exists, however small, astute entrepreneurs will rise to serve that market. As the immortality market expands, competition will increase and prices will fall asymptotically toward zero.

As happened with the air-travel market, the television market, and the computer market, the immortality market will start from point zero, meaning that no one will use these products at first. Then this market will expand to encompass a huge percentage of humanity—possibly all human beings. And at any time from the beginning of the immortality market until full market saturation, you will be able to acquire valid immortality products to become immortal in mind and body.
