Introduction

The future is coming and it is coming quick. People who prepare for it will prosper. People who do not prepare for the future will be swept up by it. Just what is the future and how will it affect you? Answering these questions requires going back in time to understand the past and then the present. This makes the future not only predictable but also controllable.

Here Comes the Future

Looking back in time reveals that classical liberals were among the best and brightest of mankind’s intellectuals regarding the realm of political economy. Yet with the onslaught of bad philosophy, classical liberals could not defend their position until the last of them, John Stuart Mill, surrendered his position and became a socialist. With the once-respectable liberal name vacant, intellectual carpetbaggers moved in and inverted the liberal name by linking it to its opposite tenets. Modern liberals in America represent the antithesis of what the founders of classical liberalism articulated.

Starting with John Locke and Adam Smith, classical liberals championed individual liberty, private property and limited government. Modern liberals including Hillary Clinton and John Kerry champion authoritarianism, socialized property and expansive government. The ultimate result of classical liberals was the industrialization of the West and the establishing of America. If modern liberals have their way, their ultimate result would be the deindustrialization of the West and the disintegration of America.

Today anyone can see in the rhetoric and actions of modern liberals the continuous undermining of capitalistic elements in favor of fascism: government control of the means of production. And while conservatives give lip service to capitalism and free markets, they also empower the government to control the economy and society in the name of God, religion, the war, creating jobs or any other handy expedient.

This should come as no surprise to students of history. As Isabel Paterson pointed out in 1943, similar dynamics have occurred throughout history. Regarding ancient Rome Isabel Paterson wrote, “The exactions of the bureaucracy increased, and the number of officials multiplied. More and more of the flow was diverted from production into the political mechanism. … Meantime the producers, receiving less and less in exchange for their products, were impoverished and discouraged. Naturally they tended to produce less, since they would get no fair return … They consumed their own products instead of putting them into exchange. With that the taxes began to dry up. … The bureaucrats inevitably came down on the producers, with the object of sequestrating the energy directly at the source, by a planned economy. Farmers were bound to the soil; craftsmen to their workbenches; tradesmen were ordered to continue in business although the taxes and regulations did not permit them to make a living. … The currency was debased. Prices and wages were fixed until there was nothing to sell and no work to be had.” Reference: The God of the Machine, Transaction Publishers, 1993, pages 39-40.

While Isabel Paterson was referring to an event that occurred over 1600 years ago, she could have been describing contemporary America. Hence both liberals and conservatives are contributing to the demise of America.

Few people realize that a full system of laissez-faire capitalism has never existed on earth. The closest it came to being implemented was in America from 1838 to 1913. But even then government regulations and interventions caused chaos in markets and the government’s response was to shackle markets with even more bureaucratic controls. Today in America there is a government bureaucracy for every sector of the economy. Modern America probably is more socialistic than some countries that have explicitly called themselves socialist.

From Outside to Inside

Laissez-faire capitalism and its advocates are not part of today’s world. They exist outside the system. But since civilization consists of a dynamic energy flow rather than static energy, things will change. And capitalism along with its advocates are about to switch from being outsiders to being insiders. This is a bold statement, especially when considering that a full, unregulated system of laissez-faire capitalism has never existed on earth.

This shift will take place due to an intellectual revolution that is being driven by business. Various businesses are driving pro-freedom and pro-capitalism ideas throughout the world, independent of the mass media and its anti-capitalistic views. Since the political establishment in America contradicts reality and the nature of man, it is vulnerable to legitimate competition. Statism is now facing legitimate competition—laissez-faire capitalism—and it will succumb to capitalism. Why? Statism is grounded in the arbitrary use of force whereas capitalism is grounded in reality and human nature.

As capitalism supplants statism, the people on the inside who now hold power through non-objective laws and the forcible suppression of free speech will be swept away—forgotten forever. The people on the outside who are out of power because they advocate individual rights and objective laws will be swept into power. They will rid America of its statist elements, freeing up producers nationwide by for example eliminating tariffs, regulations, fiat money, central banking and the income tax. This will have a reverberating effect around the world, causing other nations to remove their tariffs, regulations, fiat money, central banking and income tax so they can remain competitive with America.

Suddenly, perhaps within months, earth’s civilization can switch from a world of socio-fascism to a world of laissez-faire capitalism. And most importantly, this freeing up of productive energy will, through the invisible hand of self-interest, drive entrepreneurs, financiers and capitalists to solve mankind’s number one problem: human aging and death. This will launch the biotech industry into prominence. The biotech industry could surpass the computer industry in terms of worldwide sales, profits and market capitalization as everyone seeks to be cured of hideous aging and dreadful death.

Once civilization operates on free-market dynamics rather than force-backed dynamics, people naturally will desire to eliminate nature’s horrific aging and death processes. Rather than spending thousands of dollars for a casket and cemetery plot, individuals will spend thousands of dollars to cure their aging/dying processes. Eventually, through free-market competition, that price will fall from thousands of dollars to hundreds of dollars and continue to fall until every citizen can afford to eliminate the horrors of aging and death.

The obstacles to the above scenario are numerous. But by far the biggest obstacle is people’s thinking. Compulsory government education has prevented people from rising into the full conceptual or principled mentality. Thus many people are stuck on the perceptual level of cognition and cannot grasp the life-affirming value of individual liberty, laissez-faire capitalism and non-aging immortality. Those people vehemently attack such ideas and desire to incarcerate individuals who advance liberty, business and immortality.

But again, an intellectual revolution driven by business—by “greedy profits” and “cold-hearted cash”—is shifting human life from the perceptual/unprincipled mind to the conceptual/principled mind. As each individual rises into the principled mentality, a metaphorical light flips on. That person finally recognizes the value of human life, liberty, property and happiness. As numerous individuals go through this process, a tipping point will occur whereby people worldwide spontaneously rise into the principled mentality and jettison secular interventionism along with celestial nonsense.

No Force or Fraud is Needed

Nearly all past revolutions required initiatory force or fraud. Many consisted of the violent overthrow of existing regimes in order to replace one set of murderous leaders with another set of murderous leaders. But today’s intellectual revolution does not require any force or fraud. In fact, it does not require the sacrifice of anyone for any reason. Acts of initiatory force, fraud and sacrifice are tools of the incumbent power system. The new power system does not require and cannot function through initiatory force, fraud and sacrifice. It survives through competition.

This might seem odd to the average person who tries to live normally within today’s power system. After all, the average person has been exposed to multiple instances of compulsion, fraud and calls for sacrifice. Who has not been urged to sacrifice himself or herself for some higher good? Those are acts of the current power system.

All that is needed to usher in the new power system is competitive business driven by self-interest. No one needs to worry about “the greater good” or “the public interest” or “serving humanity” or any such collectivist notion. By competitively producing and voluntarily trading goods and services among individuals worldwide, the new system will overtake the old one peacefully. The perceptual mentality will fade as individuals everywhere rise into the conceptual mentality that integrates the past and the present to control the future through businesslike actions.

When that happens, dogmatic authorities will vanish as will goofy notions of God, saviors and gurus. The hidden fact of life is that productive citizens operating from their own self-interest have given rise to all the genuine values on earth. No dogma, God or saviors are needed or ever have been needed. Just honest-to-goodness productive people working for their own self-interest are all that is needed for civilization to flourish. As people grasp that hidden fact, they will shake their head in disbelief that they once espoused all kinds of reality-twisting nonsense about the need for a supreme being, authoritarian leaders and other mystical claptrap.

A Capitalism Party President

The Capitalism Party will provide a candidate who will run for the President of the United States of America in 2008. His agenda consists of the following actions:

*      Abolish the income tax

*      Terminate the IRS

*      Scrap the US tax code

*      Abolish central banking

*      Eliminate fiat money

*      Return seized gold to citizens

*      Sell non-defense properties

*      Payoff national debt

*      End government education

*      Abolish regulatory agencies

*      Repeal protectionist policies

*      End support for labor unions

*      Abolish welfare programs

*      Repeal anti-drug laws

*      Eradicate terrorism

*      Pardon all political prisoners

*      Establish a constitutional republic

Clearly this is an ambitious political program. How will this be accomplished? Once in office, the Capitalism Party President will repeal the Sixteenth and Seventeenth Amendments, repeal the 1913 Federal Reserve Act, repeal legal tender laws, repeal non-objective laws, sell all non-protection assets, repudiate government-owned debt, payoff the remaining national debt, privatize Social Security, give Tehran an ultimatum and pardon all political prisoners.

From 2008 on America will shift from a social democracy to a constitutional republic. The American government at all levels will be bound by the supreme law of the land: the US Constitution with its valid separation of powers and system of federalism.

Regarding money, the government will return confiscated gold back to the citizenry. By repealing legal tender laws and central banking laws, free banking will flourish once again as will the gold-coin standard. In fact, there will be a complete separation of economy and state.

It is unjust to saddle current and future generations with the irrational fiscal actions of past government administrations. As such, the Capitalism Party President will repudiate government-owned debt, payoff the remaining national debt, drastically slash expenditures and replace all production taxes with a national consumption tax. People who do not want to pay taxes simply do not have to buy products. Rather than penalizing the production of wealth, this new administration will penalize the destruction of wealth.

What about terrorism? Is terrorism an unsolvable dilemma? No, it is not. Iran is the cultural fountainhead of Islamic fundamentalism. By seizing Western oil drilling operations in 1951, Iran has been able to finance and export terrorism worldwide. Today Iran is building nuclear reactors and weapons-grade uranium. The Capitalism Party President will give Iran a 90-day warning to dismantle the nuclear reactors and terrorist training camps and stop providing funding and weapons to terrorist networks. Failure to comply within 90 days will result in war.

In essence, the Capitalism Party administration will shrink the federal government to national defense and legal protection. The Executive Branch will consist of the Treasury Department, Justice Department, State Department and Defense Department. The Judicial Branch will consist of the Supreme Court administering natural law jurisprudence. The Legislative Branch will consist of the Senate and House of Representatives that formulate objective laws. That is all. Thus without any of the wasteful agencies, there is no need for the federal government to spend $2.5 trillion annually. By providing only national defense and legal protection, the federal government will spend $500 billion annually.

With the newly liberated economy utilizing objective money and free banking, private citizens will be able to solve problems through the voluntary marketplace. Healthcare, education, the environment and so on will be handled through voluntary transactions of businesspeople rather than through compulsory actions of government bureaucrats. With government restricted to its role as defender of individual rights and private property, the economy will blossom into unprecedented prosperity.

Nationalism, socialism, communism, fascism, democracies and theocracies have been tried and they all have failed miserably. The Capitalism Party will sweep them into the black hole of history as every citizen rises into permanent prosperity. Need a job? Need income? Need security? These and much more will become available in abundance upon electing a Capitalism Party President. Getting rich has never been easier…or more fun.

It is error alone which needs the support of government; truth can stand by itself.

— Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826)

A Quiet Revolution

Today America is busy prosecuting competitive entrepreneurs and financiers. By eliminating the best, brightest and most competitive producers in America, citizens believe they will be safe and secure at the hands of America’s leviathan state. But while Americans are focused on the political destruction of competitive and benevolent producers, a quiet revolution is taking place—a quiet storm of universal riches and human immortality.

Thomas Jefferson’s abovementioned quote was never more relevant than today. America’s federal government is enforcing the grotesque error of Frank Knight and Milton Friedman, particularly their fallacy of perfect information/insider trading “crimes.” While misguided government prosecutors including James Comey use such fallacies to advance their political careers, competitive giants such as Martha Stewart and Frank Quattrone are felled by the saw of envy, egalitarianism and irrationality.

The fallacy of insider trading is not the only error enforced by government. Terrorists have regrouped and are executing their next round of attacks starting with biological warfare. This might be shocking to Americans but it should not be surprising. The American federal government has refused to dismantle the fount of Islamic fundamentalism. Instead, Washington politicians try to court the fount of Islamic fundamentalism by offering it expropriated taxpayer dollars and goodwill. However, the fount of Islamic fundamentalism rejects these offers; it has a different plan.

In the 1950s the fount of Islamic fundamentalism seized Western oil drilling operations. In the 1970s it denounced America as the “Great Satan.” In the 1980s it held Americans hostage and hijacked American airplanes. In the 1990s it bombed American interests in the Middle East and launched Hezbollah International. In the 2000s it coordinated efforts with the Al Qaeda terrorist network to launch spectacular terrorist attacks against “Great Satan” America. The fount of Islamic fundamentalism exists between Iraq and Afghanistan.

What about the Keynesian error of counterfeit-and-consume economics? FDR loved this one so much that he turned it into law. FDR went off the gold standard, nationalized industries, empowered labor unions and launched a massive redistribution scheme to take money away from wealthy “hoarders” and transfer it to poor people so they could spend it. “The hell with production; we can consume our way to riches—and if the market crashes, we’ll point our finger at capitalism and greedy businessmen!”

Errors might rule but they rule only in an unnatural world—an inchoate civilization based on cryptically false ideas. Today that unnatural world is confronting its nemesis as explained below. Eventually that confrontation will be apparent in headline news and on television. But first that confrontation will take place in unregulated markets where government regulators have been too lazy to identify and regulate. That lax attitude on the part of government marks the downfall of earth’s mystically insane civilization. The future of all institutionalized errors is in jeopardy as a new political program is poised to clean-sweep politics from Washington to London to Berlin to Moscow to Tokyo.

Overtaking Washington

Overtaking Washington: what does this mean? Revolution? Yes. Violence? No. The following political manifesto explains this revolution and its new political program. But first readers need to understand what will happen so they can cash-in on this historical event.

As explained below, this political manifesto is the first action that will directly confront earth’s mystically insane civilization. From this action will evolve a turn of events that will culminate in the overtaking of Washington DC with honest statesmen advancing a principled agenda of individual liberty, prosperity and longevity for all Americans.

Perhaps the best way to understand this quintessential event is through an analogy. Recall Lenin’s actions in 1917 to overtake Russia with his program of Marxism/Leninism. Using the dialectical process, Hegel formulated a philosophy that says individual entities do not exist; only the group or the whole exists. Marx crafted this view into a political philosophy where the individual would meld into the community. Finally, Lenin crafted Marx’s political philosophy into a political program where there would be no individual, no personal initiative, no self-interest and certainly no profit motive. Lenin would transmogrify Russia into a gigantic bureaucratic conglomerate where no one owns anything but everyone collectively owns everything.

From today’s perspective it is obvious that Lenin’s program contradicts both reality and human nature. Yet his revolution succeeded anyway. Why? It is true that key financiers in New York grasped Marxism/Leninism and thus supported Lenin so they could finance communist Russia’s war machine. But even infusions of cash could not overcome the contradictions that comprise Marxism/Leninism. The only way Lenin could succeed was through key ideas that had been swirling throughout society for years and decades. Those key ideas made both intellectuals and laymen receptive to Marxism/Leninism.

One by one Lenin was able to convert people to his new political program. He converted Trotsky, a New York financier, a European financier and others to his program. Once Lenin had a critical mass of people who understood his new program, he was able to defy the odds and overtake the Kerensky regime in Russia. Within months after Lenin left Switzerland and Trotsky left New York, Lenin triumphed in Russia. Marxism/Leninism took hold in October 1917 in Russia and dominated that country throughout the twentieth century. Variants of Lenin’s program spread to other countries including China, Cuba and Iraq.

Tapping into the intellectual sentiments of the time, Lenin excoriated self-interest, the profit motive and “greedy” businessmen—the bourgeoisie. People during that time knew self-interest and the profit motive were integral parts of human nature, but philosophers had been denouncing these as base and immoral. So Lenin declared that his program would change human nature. How? By restructuring Russia into what amounted to a national post office, Lenin would leave no one any opportunity to act on self-interest and the profit motive. In time, human nature would change and everyone would become “noble” selfless cogs serving the Hegelian whole: The Russian Motherland. All problems would be solved and everyone would share in the produced wealth.

Again, even the financial backing of wealthy bankers could not overcome the gross contradictions of reality and human nature that Lenin was attempting to implement. The key was the intellectual sentiments flowing throughout society that made Russia ripe for Lenin’s revolutionary new political program.

Now fast-forward a century to present-day America. This political manifesto unveils a revolutionary new political program outlined below. This new program contradicts not reality or human nature; it harmonizes with both reality and human nature. It contradicts the entire social-political spectrum of modern America. Hence it appears impossible to implement; few if anyone from mainstream society would tolerate such a reality-exposing political program. Even if wealthy financiers shifted their support from shyster politicians and murderous dictators to support this new political program, that would not be enough.

Implementing this new political program against all odds requires key ideas flowing throughout society. Remember that modern liberals basically are Marxian socialists and conservatives basically are religious mystics. Thus both factions will be offended by this new political program—a program that does not allow government or god to violate man’s rights. Fortunately, key ideas have gained a wide acceptance that is causing favorable societal undercurrents and making the public ripe for the political program described below. Those ideas have been advanced by for example Ludwig von Mises and Ayn Rand, both of whom enjoy a large and growing following online and in print. The Mises Institute is the number one economics research website on the Internet according to Alexa and Rand’s books sell half a million copies per year.

The best ideas of these and similar intellectuals have been retained while their errors have been discarded. The valid ideas were consolidated into a new political program not of nationalism, socialism, fascism, communism or welfare statism but of full, laissez-faire capitalism. Never before has America seen such an uncompromised program that was built from the ground up relying only on objective reality and principled reason. All subjective philosophies and subjective politics including libertarianism were jettisoned. This new political program was developed through a disciplined use of reason based on reality and human nature. The results will offend everyone invested in earth’s mystically insane civilization.

This is where shrewd readers can profit. By contrasting contemporary politics with the political program below, readers will recognize the huge chasm that separates the two. People in mainstream society would never consider that such a radical program could be implemented, but remember Lenin and his impossible victory. Like then, today key ideas have been circulating for years and decades. Favorable intellectual undercurrents will enable the following political program to succeed.

By understanding what the following program means to American society, shrewd readers can prepare for what will happen. They can withdraw their investments from entities that directly or indirectly kill humans and move their investments into entities that expand human life. This is because upon implementing the following political program, human life will transpose from a death orientation (universally accepted) to a life orientation (universally detested).

It would be a mistake to try to convince mainstream America about what is coming. No matter how articulate or persuasive readers might be, mainstream America is heavily invested in a death orientation and is preparing to die. The last thing they want to hear about is expanded life—certainly not human immortality on earth. Thus shrewd readers can gain profits quietly while this revolutionary program overtakes Washington DC as revealed in the following political manifesto. Those shrewd readers will have little or no competition in dominating life-oriented markets.

Political Manifesto

There have been only a few fundamental revolutions in history. A fundamental revolution radically alters human life for all members of society for an extended period of time. Not all revolutions involve the use of physical force but some do.

For example the Agricultural Revolution (8000 BC) and the Industrial Revolution (1750) did not require the use of physical force. Conversely, the American Revolution (1776) and the Russian Revolution (1917) did require the use of physical force. Each one of these revolutions profoundly changed human life in far-reaching ways.

Today a new revolution has begun but this one does not require the use of physical force. This revolution is a political revolution and it could alter human life more than any other revolution in history. This is an uncompromised revolution that will upgrade man’s mind, body, money, society and civilization. Because it operates on the political level, it will affect every aspect of human life.

This political revolution required extensive research and meticulous planning. It has been undergoing development and testing for several years and now it is ready for implementation. It will be released to select individuals first and then to the general public.

Government is a broker in pillage, and every election is sort of an advance auction sale of stolen goods.

— H. L. Mencken (1880-1956)

A New Politics

Throughout history there have been many crimes committed by ordinary people. Common criminals have committed acts of theft, destruction and murder. If you add up all the stolen property and murdered people at the hands of common criminals, you would have a vast amount of destruction. But what you are about to learn will make this sum-total seem insignificant by comparison.

For millennia politics has focused on controlling and draining people who are vital to human life: productive citizens. Political philosophers and politicians worldwide have worked to chain productive citizens to non-objective laws that are backed by physical force. Most political leaders and their party platforms strive to extract money, power and esteem from productive citizens. Today in the freest country on earth Americans are saddled with a 33% tax rate and they are chained to an expanding array of armed bureaucracies that control the productive class.

Importantly, most political leaders are unfit to perform their basic function of protecting the citizenry. For example, observe the slaughtering of Americans by terrorists throughout the 1990s culminating in the September 11, 2001 attack on America. It was citizens on Flight 93 who sacrificed their lives to protect government leaders in Washington DC. This is an inversion of the proper role of government. The government is supposed to protect the people rather than the people protecting the government.

When you add up the time, money, property and lives confiscated by politicians and their government machinery, you will behold the largest theft in history. Today as in the past citizens are not free—not in America or Europe or Asia or elsewhere. Productive citizens always submit to political forces to avoid being destroyed.

During this continuous political theft and destruction something unprecedented arose: a new political party. Its goals are different from contemporary politics. Rather than another political party designed to drain productive citizens and stagnate human life, this new party will liberate and enrich all citizens permanently.

How can this be? How can a political party free you and increase your wealth? The answer is simple. This new political party is the first party in history to arise from the competitive marketplace of ideas. It was driven by free-market dynamics and was designed from the ground up with zero compromises on the most basic aspect of liberty: individual rights. It is a tour de force of freedom, prosperity and longevity. Observe this party’s four-point plan:

1.      Secure individual rights in America

2.      Enact a complete separation of economy and state

3.      Replace fiat money with objective money

4.      Liberate the professions including science and medicine

What does this mean for you? If you are an American citizen you will live significantly longer and enjoy greater wealth. If you are not an American citizen, this program will positively impact you. How? This program will spread to other countries around the world after it demonstrates its efficacy in America.

The name of this political party is the Capitalism Party. It will liberate each citizen from the state apparatus of physical force. This liberation will enable all citizens to experience increasing prosperity, security and longevity.

The Capitalism Party is unique because it grew out of the competitive marketplace. It did not spring from the mind of a disgruntled citizen; it arose from a pay-per-view website. There are political and philosophical writings at that website which yielded this new political party—especially the items that arose in response to the September 11, 2001 attack on America. There were no plans to create a new political party; it simply evolved from political and philosophical writings that are read by individuals worldwide.

The Capitalism Party evolved from free-market dynamics. People who peruse the Capitalism Party Manifesto below will see that it is a well-organized exposition of a new political paradigm designed to liberate and enrich all citizens.

One person developed the Capitalism Party Manifesto. However, this political party cannot succeed by the work of one person. Success requires the work of many people, each willing to implement this new political paradigm in their home state. Readers who understand the Capitalism Party Manifesto can run for political office such as town supervisor, city mayor, county executive, state governor and other positions. Then in 2008 the Capitalism Party will announce a candidate who will run for President of the United States.

The goal of the Capitalism Party is to secure everyone’s individual rights. The logical conclusion of this is the complete separation of economy and state. Government authorities will lose their power to force, coerce and control citizens. This means citizens will no longer be forced to attend government schools, pay income taxes, serve jury duty, be a compulsory witness, etc. Citizens will be free in the literal sense of the word. The only thing they cannot do is violate anyone’s individual rights.

The Capitalism Party’s strategy for prosperity consists of establishing objective money and free banking. This will occur by repealing legal tender laws, abolishing the Federal Reserve System and returning to the gold-coin standard. This will enable specie money to circulate once again. With objective money, free banking and the abolition of government regulations, businesses will flourish in a laissez-faire capitalist economy.

You can see from the charts below how the Capitalism Party will add time and wealth to your life. These charts compare established political parties with the Capitalism Party to show how each party will affect your life.

The Capitalism Party Manifesto

Party Mission

The mission of the Capitalism Party is to uplift all citizens into a laissez-faire capitalism society consisting of universal freedom, prosperity and security.

This mission will be achieved as Capitalism Party members are elected to local, state and federal government offices so they can establish a complete separation of economy and state. That will happen by delimiting government to bodily-and-property protection. The resulting liberty in society will enable entrepreneurs, businesspeople, professionals and laborers to create cascades of wealth without interference by anyone. The federal government will be reduced to its proper protective functions and only operate in the areas of legal protection and national defense. A government that is focused on protecting its citizenry and country is the most effective in deterring crime.

Party Description

The Capitalism Party is the preeminent party of the third millennium.

The Capitalism Party is the only political party that can deliver permanent freedom and prosperity to all citizens. This is the only party whose political platform is grounded in factual reality and whose specific issues are formulated using reason alone—independent of anyone’s feelings, desires or beliefs.

The Capitalism Party does not arise from tradition, religion or spirituality. It arises from reason and common sense. Many of the ideas produced by the world’s greatest thinkers were studied and the valid ideas were adopted while the invalid ideas were discarded. Being firmly anchored in reality, the Capitalism Party is the only political party that is consistent with human nature.

The Capitalism Party will liberate all citizens as it shrinks government from a police-state megalith to an efficient and principled defender of individual rights. All non-defense aspects of government such as healthcare, the environment, food and housing will be privatized or terminated.

Purpose of Party

Man’s volitional nature requires that he remain free from external authorities and the Capitalism Party will establish that freedom.

Man is a self-thinking being that requires complete freedom from external authorities to live according to his human nature. Forced servitude to higher authorities such as rulers, society or the state prevents people from living according to their volitional nature. In an environment of complete freedom, man has the incentive and ability to think and act rationally. Thus he can build riches for himself while enriching other people and society through productive work.

It is true that a free person could commit crimes, but that is the sole reason for government: to protect citizens from crime. The Capitalism Party was born to ensure that all citizens become permanently free and safe.

Statement of Principles

Unlike all political parties of the past, the Capitalism Party is anchored in the defense of individual rights.

After the September 11, 2001 attack on America, the President of the American Institute of Architects wrote, “Civilized societies express their optimism in the face of crisis through acts of creation—and ultimately put their values on display for all the world.” The Capitalism Party agrees and has arisen to establish a free and safe society, one that will enable all creators and producers to flourish. A permanently free and safe society can exist only when government is dedicated to protecting the individual rights of all citizens.

The Capitalism Party seeks to delimit government to its proper protective functions to enact a complete separation of economy and state. In such an environment, all creators—architects, artists, authors, bankers, computer manufacturers and so on—will be free of government controls. At the same time they will receive efficient protection as the federal government becomes focused on legal and military protection rather than on controlling individuals and businesses.

The Capitalism Party is grounded in the following principles:

*      The moral purpose of conscious life is to achieve happiness

*      The role of government is to protect individual rights

*      Citizens whose rights are protected have the greatest chance to achieve happiness

*      Laws must be based on individual rights and be clearly formulated

*      When everyone’s individual rights are protected society will be safe

*      No citizen can be sacrificed for any purpose no matter how noble

*      No one has the right to initiate force or threats against anyone

The Capitalism Party will introduce rationality into politics by implementing the above principles in government. No matter how good are the people who run government, if the government’s program contradicts man’s nature, then that government will become an enemy of the people. The Capitalism Party seeks to transform government from an enemy of the people into a protector of the people.

Competing Parties

The two main competing parties are the Democratic and Republican parties.

Democratic Party: In essence this party consists of Marxian socialism. Democrats include socialist lefts, moderate-to-liberals and conservative rights. Democrats strive to use government force to implement socialist agendas.

Republican Party: In essence this party consists of religious conservatism. Republicans include traditional conservatives, centrists and religious rights. Republicans strive to use government force to implement religious agendas.

Capitalism Party: In essence this party consists of laissez-faire capitalism. Capitalists include free-market advocates and laissez-faire capitalists. Capitalists strive to use government force only in retaliation against people who initiate force and fraud. This is the most responsible use of government force.

Other competing parties include the Green Party, Libertarian Party, Natural Law Party, Independence Party and Reform Party. Of all these parties the Libertarian Party is most similar to the Capitalism Party. Both advocate individual liberty and economic freedom. The essential difference is that the Libertarian Party is grounded in the subjective epistemology of Immanuel Kant, the subjective value of Ludwig von Mises and the subjective money of Friedrich Hayek. As such, Libertarian Party tenets are not firmly anchored in reality and can be manipulated to fit personal, subjective biases. The Capitalism Party by contrast is grounded in the objective epistemology of Ayn Rand, the objective value of M. Northrup Buechner and the objective money of Richard Salsman. Capitalism Party tenets are firmly anchored in reality to permanently secure the rights of all individuals regardless of anyone’s subjective biases.

Party History

The Capitalism Party was born from the need to protect individual rights.

During the period prior to the founding of America there was no explicit conception of individual rights. Philosophers and political thinkers during the eighteenth century and earlier discussed government in relation to community and national interests. The individual was not a primary or integral concern regarding government.

The American Republic declared its independence from Great Britain in 1776 and established a constitutional government in 1789. But the original United States Constitution did not provide for rights of the individual. Instead, it described powers of the federal government and state governments. The Bill of Rights was added to the Constitution later to protect certain rights of citizens.

The Democratic Party was born in 1792. It arose during opposition to the Federalist Party and it fought for the Bill of Rights. It was known as the party of the common man. In 1800 Thomas Jefferson became the first Democrat to win the Presidency.

The Republican Party was born in 1854. It arose from anti-slavery activists and people who wanted free land from the government. In 1860 Abraham Lincoln became the first Republican to win the Presidency.

During the era when these political parties were born, the concept of individual rights had not been formally explicated. Thus there have been loopholes in America’s political structure that allowed rulers to violate the rights of individuals. Since the major concern of political thinking during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries revolved around communitarian ideals, rulers were able to subjugate individuals “for the public interest.” In such a political climate the individual was helpless to defend himself against predatory government.
